Our history
In 1975, Dad opened up a corner store in Gibraltar.  This was all fine till Raju came along. Having a degree in Physics, he thought selling Mars bars all day long just wasn't good enough for him. And, besides, it wasn't relevant to his academic qualifications.  So, instead, he decided to open Gibraltar's first serious men's clothes store.  This was about as relevant to having a career in Physics as selling sweeties, but, hey, at least he wouldn't be stuffing his face all day.  Not to mention picking up all the gear he wanted and putting it on tab...

So, in 1989, Marble Arc (our retail shop) was born.  The idea was simple let's bring in the most happening brands, sell it at a decent price and treat our clients as mates - don't rip them off, treat them well, and listen when they've got a moan.

Our shops- what we do and what we don't
In the intervening years, we've applied this principle to good effect.  We now have three shops in Gibraltar stocking, amongst others, DIESEL, G STAR, MISS SIXTY, QUIKSILVER, O'NEILL, BILLABONG, RIP CURL, KICKERS, SONNETI, FRENCH CONNECTION, FIRETRAP, SKECHERS, CATERPILLAR.

Our shops receive new product, on average, EVERY SINGLE DAY (honestly!).  What this means is that our shops always look fresh, with new product, new windows and a new layout every week.  The people who benefit most from this are our regulars, who are always on the hunt for the next thing!  We are not in the business of buying stacks of end-of-lines, or seconds from dodgy middlemen.  Our underlying principles mean that we only buy current, full- price stock from our suppliers.  It may not be the cheapest way to buy clothes, but at least it means is that our customers get the styles that are in demand and exclusive.

The friendly culture benefactors
We've been instrumental in supporting youth causes locally.  We believe that it's only fair that we help those who've helped us to get to where we are now (editor's note: "where is that?").  Marble Arc has helped bring in many bands to Gibraltar, support local bands, and, we've now become the venue to get any concert tickets going round.  We recently celebrated our tenth anniversary in some style, when we got the Ministry of Sound to play locally, the first time they'd ever performed in the Iberian Peninsula.  Last year, we helped kit out local group, Melon Diesel, for their first album and tour.  The band has since gone double platinum in Spain, with their unique style of "Yanito rock".  Watch out for our logo in the record sleeve.

The directors
Our company, formed in 1975, has always been a family business, made up of three directors- Dad, Mum & Raju Purswani.  We are totally committed to our business and to you, our customers, who make it all happen.  In the past 25 years we have gained a wealth of experience, both, in business and in the fashion trade which we put to your benefit.  Our bankers are Barclays Bank PLC, Main Street, Gibraltar.  Our legal advisors are Triay & Triay, the oldest legal firm in Gibraltar and we are members of the Gibraltar Chamber of Commerce.
